As confirmed in the poster above, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Bali Blue color variant will be going on sale in China on 6th July at 10:00 AM. In terms of pricing, the Redmi 6 Pro Blue variant starts at 999 yuan (Rs.10,300 approx.) for the base 3GB RAM variant in China. The 4GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at 1,199 yuan (Rs.12,400 approx.), while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at 1,299 yuan (Rs.13,400 approx.).
The Redmi 6 Pro is Xiaomi’s first Redmi series budget Android smartphone to come with a notched display. It sports a 5.84-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 500 nits peak brightness, and 84% NTSC color gamut coverage. Under the hood, Xiaomi’s notched Redmi device is powered by Qualcomm’s popular Snapdragon 625 14nm mobile processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with an Adreno 506 GPU. It is available in three memory configurations in China – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. For further expansion up to 256GB, the Redmi 6 Pro includes a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the back of the handset is a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with AI-powered features like AI scene detection and AI Portrait mode. While the primary Sony IMX486 12MP sensor boasts 1.25um pixel size, the secondary 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 sensor has a 1.12um pixel size. Both the sensors are coupled with f/2.2 aperture lenses. For selfies and video calls, the Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 5MP snapper on the front. The front-facing camera supports AI Portrait and AI Face Unlock features as well.
While Xiaomi hasn’t announced anything with regards to the Redmi 6 Pro’s launch in India so far, we did confirm last month that the handset will be launched in India in the coming weeks, along with the more affordable Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A models
